What’s in a name?

Over the last few months, you may have noticed our sales team’s titles have changed. Previously known as “Area Managers”, their official new titles are “Business Development Managers” or “BDMs” for short.

Easy to change a title without changing behaviours, I know, but we have been committed to ensuring we really do change the way we approach you, the customer, since the start of the new financial year.

Contrary to the trends many businesses are following, GNS is increasing our face-to-face sales force across the country, and extending our reach into regional areas. Some newsagents are seeing a GNS representative for the first time in years, and in most cases, welcoming them with open arms.

More people on the ground means more stores now have a dedicated GNS representative available to them, and new people bring with them enthusiasm and a real desire to help you grow your business.

GNS “BDMs” will come armed with more product data, more samples, and extensive new product offerings. For example, our new “Sluban” building block range has been very successful in the newsagent market, offering a high quality and lower cost alternative to well-known brands.

We recently launched our Fashion Stationery range “Skweek”, and this is already proving to be a massive hit with customers. Our BDMs have assisted a number of newsagents in creating bright, colourful displays in their store that draw customers’ attention and create demand for the product. Check out and ‘Like’ our Skweek Facebook page for regular updates (https://www.facebook.com/Skweek-481591052017222/timeline/) or speak to your new BDM for more information.
