We’ve received a bit of feedback from customers in relation to recent delivery delays and out of stocks. We did have a period during which we were severely backlogged in NSW and Victoria, and a communication was released explaining the situation. It is true that not only were sales reps picking and packing orders, but all senior management as well! We take responsibility for these delays, however influences such as the very late diary delivery from Collins-Debden saw us getting significantly behind. We are still waiting on some titles from Collins-Debden and late supply of these products had a large ripple effect on the next promotion, Christmas, which delays the next, and so on. The movement of huge volumes of Back to School stock into our docks has also had an impact on these delays and may see some shorter delays eventuate into January.

I’m pleased to say we are catching up quickly and you will be seeing updates via email 3 times per week from now until January, detailing the status in each state. Fill rates are also improving and out of stocks are decreasing daily. Some excellent changes to the despatch areas are being implemented and we are creating more efficient picking processes, further contributing positively to the process.
